Wesley Academy is the hidden gem of Houston Christian school education. Tucked away on the west side of Houston, we are blessed with committed teachers, remarkable facilities, and small class sizes. Our program is designed to allow your child to blossom in a safe and nurturing environment. Every year, our graduates move on to achieve success at the best high school programs in Houston.

The key to Wesley Academy’s success is our stable and experienced faculty. With an average of 16 years of classroom experience and very little turnover, our teachers are committed to the Wesley way. They are well aware of the specific needs of each age group and are capable of assisting parents in the many decisions that go into rearing happy, well adjusted young adults. The collegial nature of our faculty leads to collaboration across academic disciplines and when issues arise with a student, a variety of perspectives are available to assist in determining the best course of action.

Wesley Academy is located on the Westchase Campus of First Methodist Houston. Our buildings are modern, well cared for, and are ideally suited for the broad education we expect to provide our students. Included on our campus are dedicated science labs for lower school and middle school, well lit art classrooms, music rooms, and a large multi-purpose space that serves as a dining hall and student performance center. Adjoining Wesley Academy is the Quillian Recreational Center, site of the church’s recreational ministry. These facilities include a gymnasium, pool, and playing fields that are used by Wesley Academy students.

Wesley Academy celebrates our diversity as a reflection of the multi-ethnic Houston population. With families from nine different countries, speaking five different languages, our students become comfortable with a variety of ethnic traditions while enjoying the many Wesley traditions we have in common. While Wesley Academy is the educational ministry of the First Methodist Church of Houston and all students attend weekly chapel, we welcome students from a variety of faith traditions.

Beginning with our nurturing pre-school environment and continuing through eighth grade, Wesley Academy is committed to providing our families the comfort and security of an independent school while maintaining a remarkably affordable tuition structure. I hope you will join us for a visit.
