Gross sales: $8,264 (about $500 more than last year!)
Classroom libraries: $1,750 (included in gross sales)
Donations to Friends of the Wesley Library: $320
A special thank you to 7th grade moms, Kathleen Sisk (Anne)and Ingrid Bond (Victoria), who served as co-chairs, (for the second year in a row!) as well as all the other moms who helped during the sale.
One of the favorite activities at the book fair is the Favorite Book Character Costume Competition. Students dress in as their favorite character from their favorite book. Winners of this year’s Favorite Book Character Costume Competition were:

Kindergarten:
Alex Berges, dressed as Officer Buckle, in Officer Buckle and Gloria
Grade 1:
Alexandra Greer, dressed as Amelia Bedelia, in the Amelia Bedelia Books
Grade 2:
Hannah Ottosen, dressed as Laura in Little House on the Prairie
Grade 3 - Tied for first place:
Alia Jones, dressed as Cleopatra in Who Was King Tut?
Michael Minnich, dressed as Robert E. Lee in the Magic Tree House book,
Civil War on Sunday
Grade 4:
Emmanuel Anekwuonye, dressed as Prince Caspian in the Narnia book, Prince Caspian
Grade 5:
Brittany McVaugh, dressed as Nancy Drew in the Nancy Drew series
Grade 6:
Wesley Herbst, dressed as a musketeer from Alexander Duman’ book,
The Three Musketeers
Grade 7 - Three-way tie for first place:
Christian Hightower, dressed as Albert Einstein in his biography
Anne Sisk, dressed as Angelina Ballerina, from the series
Jenna Devine, dressed as the Mouse in If You Give a Mouse a Cookie
Grade 8:
Jordan Pugh, dressed as Junie B. Jones in Aloha, Hawaii
Each winner received a $10 gift certificate to the Book Fair.
