ATHLETES OF THE YEAR

 

 

Asha Jones and Michael Anekwuonye Win Athletes of the Year

On Thursday, May 6, the Wesley Academy Athlete of the Year award was presented to grade 7 students, Michael Anekwuonye and Asha Jones, at the Annual Sports Banquet held in the Stansbury Building.  This award is presented each year to the female and male athlete that exhibited perseverance during games and events, encouraged their teammates, and demonstrated team spirit and school pride.  Michael participated in basketball, soccer, and tennis.  Asha participated in volleyball, basketball, and tennis. 

 

Interscholastic athletics is an important part of Wesley’s middle school experience. Team sports are offered to Grade 5-8 students with the goal of athletic and social growth where friendships and sportsmanship is emphasized in a competitive environment.

GARAGE SALE
DONATIONS!

Mark your calendars and tell your family and friends about Wesley Academy’s first ever garage sale! The sale will be held on the Wesley Campus - Saturday, September 11, from 9:00am - 2:00pm. All proceeds will help offset the cost of new computers.

WE ARE NOW ACCEPTING DONATIONS. Items that sell well are: baby/children items, furniture, sports equipment, TV’s, blue jeans, collectibles, toys, camping gear, tools, riding toys, new items of any kind, glassware, books, wall pictures, and Christmas décor. So clean out your closets and garages and help Wesley raise money to expand the technology department.
Donations may be dropped off at the school office between 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Contact the school office at 713-266-3341 for further information or if you would like to volunteer and help make this event a great success.
