ANNUAL GIVING
Each year's Annual Giving campaign provides ongoing financial support for many programs offered at Wesley Academy. Contributing to Annual Giving allows Wesley not only to sustain, but to improve the academic and extracurricular activities it offers our children. No gift is too large or too small and all are fully tax-deductible according to IRS regulations. Many companies will match gifts to schools. Together we can reach our goals of 100% parent participation and $100,000.
Frequently asked questions:
What is Annual Giving?
Annual Giving is a critical aspect of the school's fundraising. It is an annual request for funds that make up the difference of what is received in tuition and the actual operating budget. This means that every dollar donated directly benefits the children.
Why does Wesley Academy need Annual Giving when parents already pay tuition?
Tuition alone is not enough to sustain the quality of a Wesley Academy education. Tuition covers only 81% of operating costs. Fourteen percent must be covered by fundraising. Annual Giving allows us to hold tuition to a minimum, yet continue to provide a quality education for our children.
Why not raise the tuition if it doesn't cover all the costs?
As part of our commitment to provide a quality education to all students, the Board of Directors tries to minimize tuition increases.
How much should we give?
Only you can decide. We ask you to remember that your contribution, along with those of all our donors, directly enhance a child's education. We hope that every member of our School community will participate. The size of your contribution is not important. It is important that we all give.
What areas of the School does Annual Giving help to support?
Scholarships, classroom equipment, professional development, athletics, extra-curricular, maintenance of facilities and grounds, and faculty salaries.
Is our gift tax-deductible?
All contributions are fully tax-deductible according to IRS regulations.
How do I make my gift?
Send your gift (check made payable to Wesley Academy, or charge to MasterCard or Visa) or make a pledge by completing the attached form and return to the school office. Be sure to investigate Corporate Match programs (contact your benefits department for information).
How do I "Bridge the Gap"?
Your gift of $1,500 will help bridge the gap between tuition and the general operating budget and will address the greatest immediate needs of the school.
How can I get more information?
