Wesley Academy believes in the warmed heart and trained mind.  To carry out its mission, it shall be the philosophy of Wesley Academy to provide a learning environment where:

Mission Statement

Wesley Academy is a ministry of First Methodist Houston. Its program is designed to make learning a positive, exciting venture, centered on knowledge of Jesus Christ as Lord, and offers a balanced curriculum with attention to intellectual, emotional, social, physical, religious and moral development of children.

It shall be the mission of Wesley Academy to provide an educational environment which will embody the Christian faith and foster the intellectual growth of students to reach their potential academically; exercise their creative thinking processes in order to reason and solve problems, and to develop good character and citizenship for responsible lives. Wesley Academy will be as inclusive and diverse as the population of our great city and accessible to the average citizen.
